Bondo Body Repair Kit
Our Bondo Body Repair Kit delivers everything you need to tackle dents, rust damage, and surface imperfections on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. This complete system includes our trusted Bondo body filler, fiberglass resin, spreaders, and finishing materials—the same formulas professional body shops rely on for permanent repairs.
Whether you're fixing a small door ding or rebuilding a rusted panel, we've engineered this kit for both first-time DIYers and experienced restorers. The two-part filler cures in minutes, sands smooth in 15-30 minutes, and bonds to metal, fiberglass, and wood for repairs that last as long as the vehicle itself.
What's Included in Your Kit

What's Included in the Kit
Your bondo body repair kit arrives with everything required for professional-quality repairs right out of the box. The 1-quart can of Bondo body filler handles most dent and damage repairs on standard passenger vehicles—enough for multiple small repairs or one larger project.
The included fiberglass resin reinforces weak or rusted metal before you apply filler, preventing future cracking and ensuring structural integrity. Two plastic spreaders let you feather edges and smooth filler flush with surrounding surfaces. The cream hardener tube dispenses precise amounts to activate your filler—mix ratios are clearly marked in the instructions.

How to Use Your Body Filler
Surface Preparation
Start by grinding or sanding the damaged area down to bare metal, removing all paint, rust, and loose material. Feather the edges of surrounding paint to create a smooth transition zone. Clean the area with wax and grease remover to ensure proper adhesion.
Mixing and Application
Dispense the amount of Bondo filler you need onto a clean mixing board. Add a ribbon of cream hardener—about 2 inches of hardener per golf ball-sized amount of filler. Mix thoroughly until color is uniform with no streaks, working quickly since you’ll have 3-5 minutes of working time.
Compatible Surfaces & Materials
The bondo body repair kit bonds permanently to sheet metal, aluminum, fiberglass, SMC (sheet molded compound), and most rigid plastics commonly found on vehicles. It works equally well on cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, RVs, and even metal outdoor furniture or equipment.
For rusted or thin metal, apply the included fiberglass resin first to rebuild structural strength before filling. The resin saturates fiberglass cloth (sold separately) to bridge holes and reinforce weak areas. Once cured, the resin creates a solid base that accepts body filler without flex or cracking.

Body Repair Kit Questions & Answers
The 1-quart filler can covers approximately 60-80 square inches at 1/8" depth—enough for several small dents or one larger damaged area. Coverage depends on damage depth and how much you overfill during application.
For extensive damage or multiple panels, consider buying additional filler separately. The included fiberglass resin covers approximately 4-6 square feet when applied with fiberglass cloth.
No, this bondo body repair kit is formulated for rigid surfaces like metal, fiberglass, and hard plastics. Flexible bumper covers require specialized flexible fillers that move with the material without cracking.
The product works excellently on rigid plastic components like hard ABS panels, fiberglass body parts, and SMC materials found on many vehicles. Test a small hidden area first if you're unsure about compatibility.
You can apply primer as soon as 30 minutes after the final sanding, once all dust is removed. In cooler temperatures (below 65°F), wait 45-60 minutes to ensure complete curing.
Always apply automotive primer before topcoat paint. The filler is porous and will absorb paint unevenly without proper priming. Allow primer to dry per manufacturer instructions before applying color coats.
Unopened containers stored in cool, dry conditions remain usable for 1-2 years from manufacture date. Once opened, keep lids sealed tight and use filler within 6 months for optimal performance.
The cream hardener can separate or thicken over time. If hardener becomes difficult to squeeze or doesn't mix smoothly, replace it. Old hardener causes inconsistent curing and weak repairs.
The kit includes plastic spreaders for application—no additional tools required for mixing and applying. For sanding, you'll need sandpaper in progressively finer grits (36, 80, 120, 180, 220) and a sanding block or DA sander.
A grinder or 36-grit disc helps remove paint and rust during prep. Most repairs can be completed with basic hand tools and sandpaper available at any hardware store.
Yes, using the included fiberglass resin. Cut a piece of fiberglass cloth slightly larger than the hole, apply resin to the backside of the panel, press the cloth into the wet resin, and apply more resin over the top.
Once the resin cures (20-30 minutes), it creates a solid patch that accepts body filler. For holes larger than 2-3 inches, use multiple layers of cloth and resin for maximum strength before filling.
Yes, fully cured Bondo filler is waterproof and won't absorb moisture when properly sealed with primer and paint. The cured material is impervious to water, gasoline, oil, and most automotive fluids.
Always seal repairs with quality automotive primer and paint to protect against UV damage and environmental exposure. Unpainted filler will eventually degrade from sunlight even though it resists water.
